We currently have a vacancy for an experienced, passionate and driven Project Manager to join our thriving Projects department.

No two days will be the same, ensuring you always have a variety within your role. You will have accountability for a portfolio of a range of clients and you will work with the whole team to ensure that each of your projects are planned efficiently and effectively. You will then oversee the project being installed on site, working to drawings and liaising with the whole team as well as the client.

  • Working with our Project engineering and support teams to ensure the correct solutions are accurately planned
  • Overcoming issues and obstacles, using your previous experience to assist decision making
  • Liaising with our Quantity Surveyor to ensure we are working to all contractual requirements
  • Escalating issues on site to the Technical Director and ensuring delays are managed and communicated to all involved parties
  • Procurement of items, ensuring all relevant documentation is completed
  • Working with AutoCAD to accurately capture all requirements, interpreting for colleagues who may not be familiar
  • Having onsite presence to ensure any issues are resolved immediately
  • Attend Project Team meetings to update on your portfolio of projects and where required attend hand over sessions from Project sales to have complete understanding of your projects
  • Be able to step in where required on site to effectively resolve engineering issues

Requirements:

  • Over 5 years experience in overseeing critical power installations ranging in size
  • Over 5 years experience working with generators
  • Control panel exposure on Dief, Deep Sea, ComAP, SDMO or a related power generation controls / PLC system required
  • Ideally, you will be qualified at Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND or City & Guilds level in an Engineering discipline.
  • Project Management qualification and SMSTS
  • An ideal location for this role would be within 1 hour of the M1/M42 or anywhere South from Nottingham
