Trailer Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Trailer Maintenance Technician. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and cleaning of trailers attached to our company vehicles. The ideal Trailer Maintenance Technician is a semi-skilled worker with previous experience in a similar role, possessing a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to different work sites.

The Role

· Perform repairs on trailers, brakes, suspension, and structural components.

· Thoroughly clean trailers and inspect for any signs of wear, damage, or potential issues.

· Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.

· Work with others, including drivers and maintenance personnel to coordinate work.

· Travel and work across different sites as needed to provide maintenance support.

· Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance.

· Document any recommendations for future maintenance.

· Ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.

· Respond promptly to urgent repair needs.

· Attend training courses when required.

· Maintain the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the process.

The Person

· Basic mechanical skills and the ability to use a variety of hand tools.

· Familiarity with electrical systems and welding is a plus.

· Willing to Travel with in works vehicle to different locations nationwide.

· Ability to adjust to varying work conditions and schedules.

· Happy working outdoors for long period of time.

· Effective communication skills to interact with team members, drivers, and management.

· Ability to interpret and follow drawings and schedules.

· Be able to understand risk assessments.

· Hold a Full UK driving licence.
