About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Technical Operations Manager to lead and support our team of skilled generator engineers and service coordinators. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on knowledge of power generation systems, exceptional operational leadership ability, and a passion for delivering safe, high-quality, and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and mentor a team of generator engineers, ensuring high standards of technical excellence and safe working practices.
  • Provide advanced technical guidance, fault-finding support, and escalation assistance on generator systems, controls, and associated equipment.
  • Oversee daily service operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, resource allocation, and timely completion of jobs.
  • Collaborate closely with coordinators to optimise workflow, minimise downtime, and maintain strong communication between field and office teams.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs, service quality standards, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement across service delivery, processes, and technical capability.
  • Assist with complex quotations, technical assessments, and customer consultations.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and operational oversight across all technical activities.
  • Support training, competency development, and onboarding for engineering staff.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong technical background in generator systems, mechanical/electrical engineering, or power generation operations.
  • Proven experience leading or supporting engineering teams in a service-focused environment.
  • Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and provide clear, practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, able to work effectively across teams.
  • Strong organisational and operational management capability.
  • A proactive, hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment.
  • Adhoc travel to customer sites as operational needs require.
